Aldric d'Entremont - Warden

Warden Aldric d’Entremont has represented West Pubnico as Councilor for 20 years, and has been the Warden for seven years.  Aldric and his wife Annie live in Middle West Pubnico, and both have been enjoying retirement since 2006.
 
Warden d’Entremont believes strongly in ensuring that Argyle residents get their money’s worth from their taxes, and places economic development as top priority.  

Outside of the fishery, Aldric feels that tourism plays a big part in the economic development of Argyle.  The Municipality has recently hired a full time Tourism Development Officer to address local tourism concerns, and to develop a strategic plan for the future.

Richard Donaldson - Deputy Warden

Richard Donaldson resides in and represents the electoral district 6 of Argyle, which encompasses Glenwood, South Belleville, Robert’s Island and the Argyles, including Argyle Head to Argyle Sound. Councilor Donaldson has represented his constituents for 16 years (as of 2007).  Richard is a self-employed lobster fisherman and is an avid reader and traveler. 

Councilor Donaldson believes that communities in Argyle are and should remain to be an excellent place to raise families. Our quality of life in Argyle is what diversifies us, and makes this region a great place to live.  Richard lives in beautiful Lower Argyle with his wife Debbie.

Bruce Hubbard - Councillor

Councillor Bruce Hubbard lives in Sainte-Anne-du-Ruisseau with his wife Carmelle.  Bruce has served on Council for the past 12 years representing District 1 – Tusket, Hubbard’s Point, Abram’s River, Gavelton, Pleasant Lake, Little Egypt, and East Kemptville.   He presently serves on 11 committees of Council.

He has always believed that being there and putting people first is a priority.  Bruce has served as a member of the Eel Brook Fire Department for over 35 years.  Besides Council, Bruce enjoys spending time with his family and especially his three grand- daughters who keep him and his wife very busy.

Roderick (Junior) Murphy - Councillor

Councilor Roderick (Junior) Murphy lives in Little River Harbour with his wife Janet and son Gregory.  Councilor Murphy represents District 2, which includes Little River Harbour, Plymouth, Upper Wedgeport and Comeau’s Hill.  Roderick enjoys spending time with his family, including his daughter Nicole and his grandson Noah.  Roderick is a lobster buyer and has been a school bus driver for 37 years.

Councilor Murphy supports the construction of sidewalks in the communities of Plymouth and Upper Wedgeport, and considers high speed internet an important and badly needed service for Little River Harbour and Comeau’s Hill.  Roderick enjoys representing his constituents and considers it an honor to serve his community.

Charles LeBlanc - Councillor

Councilor Charles LeBlanc lives in Lower Wedgeport with his wife Joan.  Charles represents District 3, which encompasses Wedgeport and Lower Wedgeport.  Councilor LeBlanc has served on Council for 23 years (2007) and works to better his community.  Charles believes in staying in close contact with his constituents, and dealing with their issues.  Charles enjoys spending time with his family, including his two grandchildren Rowen and Sophie.  Councilor LeBlanc also enjoys spending time at the Tusket Islands during the summer months.

Charles has been a member of the finance committee for the Wedgeport Fire Department for 20 years, and also serves on the executive for the South West Shore Development Authority.

Guy Surette - Councillor

Councillor Guy Surette lives in Surette’s Island with his wife Patsy. Councillor Surette represents District 4 which includes Amirault’s Hill, Sluice Point, Surette’s Island and Morris Island.


This is my first term as a Councillor and I hope to bring the concerns of my district to the table at Municipal Council.  I will assure that communications to our residents is clear and concise and our residents are kept informed of Municipal Council decisions.


I hope to bring new ideas and a vision for the future for our Municipality in the next four years.

Malcolm  Madden  -  Councillor

Councillor  Malcolm  Madden  lives  in  Ste.-Anne du  Ruisseau with his wife  Margaret, they have  two sons,  Devin  and  Rene.  Malcolm  has owned and operated Eel Brook Service Centre since 1979.

Councillor Madden strongly believes in community spirit, therefore has supported many activities such as the Acadian Festivals, sport teams, school events and the Eel  Brook  and  Districts  Fire  Department,  of  which  he  has been  a volunteer for over  20  years.

Malcolm  looks  forward  to  working  with  and  for  the  residents  of  District  5.

Kathy Bourque - Councillor

Councillor Kathy Bourque lives in Middle East Pubnico with her husband Gilles and sons, François and Gabriel.  Kathy represents District 7 which includes Pubnico Head and East Pubnico.  Kathy is employed by the Royal Bank in West Pubnico and is actively volunteering in the community on the executive of the East Side Community Center, Pubnico Light Monument Society, Parish Council president of Immaculate Conception Church and sits on the board of directors of the Conseil Acadien de Par-en-Bas.

Kathy’s goals as councillor are to work for the community to make it a better place to live.  She is ready to hear and present all suggestions from her constituents to Council and personally contact them with the results.

Calvin d'Entremont - Councillor

Councilor Calvin d’Entremont lives in Lower West Pubnico along with his wife Deanna, and two children, Sherise and Patrick.  Calvin has represented District 9, which encompasses Lower West Pubnico & portion of Middle West Pubnico.  Councilor d’Entremont sits on many committees, such as the Yarmouth International Airport Corporation, The Heritage Advisory Committee, the Planning Advisory Committee, the West Pubnico Sewer Committees and the Village historique acadien de la Nouvelle Écosse.  He also coaches baseball and hockey.

Councilor d’Entremont has served for 7 years (2007) and is passionate about his municipality and the community he lives in.  Calvin is a commercial lobster fisherman and also owns and operates a local tour company, A Day by the Sea Tour Limited and is very interested in developing a sustainable tourism industry in our beautiful area.
