By Land...
Driving south from Halifax, you have two options available for your travels:
Highway 101 : leave Halifax and venture south towards Yarmouth via the Annapolis Valley. The distance to Yarmouth is about 300 km. Speeds on highway 101 average 100 km/hour, and the driving time is about 3 hours. Yarmouth is located at the very end of Highway 101. From Yarmouth you can venture through our scenic Route 3. You will pass through our beautiful coastal communities; through Argyle and Tusket with side drive opportunities to visit Wedgeport, Quinan and Little River Harbour.
Highway 103 : leave Halifax and drive south to the Pubnico area via the South Shore. The distance is about 250km. Speeds on highway 101 average 100 km/hour, and the driving time is about 2 1/2 hours. Pubnico is located at Exit 32 highway 103 and is the first community you will find to discover in our municipality. Here you’ll have the opportunity to visit each our communities via the scenic routes through the Pubnicos, Argyle, Tusket, Wedgeport, Quinan and Little River Harbour- just to name a few.
