Healthy Community Survey

A short survey has been developed on this website that provides an opportunity for residents to make suggestions about ways to make Argyle Municipality a better place to live, work and play. Have a say in how everyone in the community can help reduce pollution and waste, protect environmental health and improve the social and cultural fabric of our communities while maintaining a strong and vibrant economy. Please take a few minutes to help your community and complete the short questionnaire.

Community Planning in Argyle

The Municipality of Argyle has made a commitment to become a more sustainable community.  The first step down this path was to approve an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP) in March 2010.  The next step is to update the municipality’s planning documents.  Over the last two years the Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS) and Land Use By-law (LUB) have been under review by the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC).  This committee provides advice to Council on land use planning matters.  Both citizen representatives and Councillors sit on this committee.

What kind of community do you want for your children and grandchildren?  Get involved and participate in the community planning process currently underway.  The Planning Advisory Committee has been appointed by Council as the committee to oversee this planning process.  All PAC meetings are open to the public and held on the last Thursday of the month at 7:00pm in the Council chambers of the municipal building in Tusket.  Staff of the Yarmouth-Argyle-Barrington District Planning Commission facilitate the planning process and can be contacted at (902)648-3166 for further information.
