The Municipality of the District of Argyle Council and staff are currently participating in a strategic planning process that will assist us in determining our future direction. This process will allow us to establish a common vision of what the Municipality expects to become in the next five to ten years.

Dr. Jack Novack of Henson College has been contracted by Council to facilitate this process.  In phase I of the strategic planning process, six key strategic questions have been identified:

  • How do we sustain and grow the population in our area?
  • How do we ensure that our Municipal services are relevant and affordable?
  • How do we attract a more diverse local economy?
  • How do we maintain and improve our transportation system?
  • How do we promote good citizenship?
  • How do we enhance and promote our strong cultural values?

Municipal Council and staff are working to develop answers and/or solutions to these questions and we invite you to share with us your thoughts and ideas to any or all of these questions. Your responses and comments can be sent to us via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , faxed to us at 648-0367, mailed to us at: P.O.
