Property Tax Sale by Tender

Sealed tenders will be accepted by The Municipality of the District of Argyle up to 2 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 for the following:

PROPERTY TAX SALE BY TENDER - VARIOUS LOTS

Tender Forms and Specifications:
Tenders must be obtained from the Tax Sale Department at 27 Courthouse Road, Tusket, NS B0W 3M0, phone (902) 648-2311 or fax (902) 648-0367.

Sealed Bids:
Tenders must be sealed and designated T01-2015 and returned to the Municipality of Argyle, Tax Department, 27 Courthouse Road, PO Box 10, Tusket, NS B0W 3M0.

NOTE: FAXED / ELECTRONIC TENDERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

Tender Opening:
Tenders will be opened at a public tender opening on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 27 Courthouse Road.

The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all tenders, or to accept any tender or part thereof considered to be in its best interest.

Heating Assistance Rebate Program

Nova Scotians who need help with home heating costs can now apply for the province's heating rebate program. The 2014-15 Heating Assistance Rebate Program, launched on Thursday (October 30th), offers a rebate of up to 200 dollars to eligible applicants who heat their home with oil, natural gas, wood, wood pellets, propane, electricity or coal. 

To qualify, applicants must be a household with a net annual income of $42,000 or less or a single person earning $27,000 or less annually.

Applications are available for download here. Or at Access Nova Scotia centres, MLA offices, Department of Community Services' offices, online at www.homeheatinghelp.ca  , or by calling 1-800-670-4357.
