2013 Minor Soccer Club Registration

The Argyle Minor Soccer Club is now accepting registrations for the 2013 Soccer season.  Registration is on-going at the Argyle Recreation Department from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.  Registrations may also be mailed in. 

The deadline to register is April 30.  Late registration fees ($10 per player)will be in effect after this date.  For more information, contact the Argyle Recreation Department at (902) 648-3379.

Heating Assistance to Low Income Seniors and Families 

The Salvation Army's Good Neighbour Energy Fund is now accepting applications to help with all forms of home heating, including firewood, coal, oil, propane and electricity, although the majority of requests are for oil and electricity.

The benefit is paid as a credit to an energy supplier's account on behalf of the person receiving fuel. Last winter, more than 2,000 low-income Nova Scotians across the province received home-heating help from the Good Neighbour Energy Fund.

Harper Government Invests in Improvements to Argyle's Community Infrastructure

TUSKET (NS) - NOVEMBER 30, 2012 – MP Greg Kerr, today announced a combined investment of $77,280 from the Government of Canada for two community recreation projects in the Municipality of Argyle.
 
$19,880 will improve shoreline access for swimmers and non-motorized boaters at Rickers Lake and $57,400 will allow the Yarmouth County Trail Development Association to grade and re-surface 10 kilometres of rough trail in the Municipality of Argyle.
